Pistol Program

The Vegreville Wildlife Federation offers a variety of pistol shooting programs designed to support both new and experienced shooters in a safe, structured, and welcoming environment.

Pistol program - thursday evenings, 7:00 pm.

May through September at the outdoor range.

July Notice: No pistol program during the month of July.

Program Highlights:

  • Weekly pistol nights for practice and skill development

  • Supervised range use with certified Range Officers

  • Opportunities to learn proper safety, handling, and technique

  • Fun shoots and friendly competitions throughout the year

  • Focus on safety, confidence building, and responsible firearm use

Who Can Participate:

  • Open to VWF members with a valid PAL

  • Beginners welcome — mentorship available

  • All shooters must follow range rules and sign-in procedures

Equipment:

  • Bring your restricted handgun and ammunition

  • Eye and ear protection are required at all times. The range does not supply this, so please bring your own.

  • Firearms must be transported and handled in accordance with Canadian laws

  • VWF membership must be worn at all times while on the range.
