Vegreville Wildlife Federation Scholarship
Supporting the Next Generation
The Vegreville Wildlife Federation (VWF) is proud to offer an annual $500 scholarship to support young members and their families as they pursue post-secondary education.
We believe in investing in the next generation of community-minded individuals who demonstrate a commitment to their education, their community, and the outdoors.
This scholarship recognizes young people who are actively involved in the Vegreville Wildlife Federation and their communities, while helping them take the next step toward their educational and career goals.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Be between 17 and 25 years of age.
Be a VWF member in good standing or a dependent of a member in good standing.
Be accepted into or currently attending a post-secondary program in Canada that is at least one year in length.
Be pursuing full-time studies. Consideration will be given to the unique structure of trades and apprenticeship programs.
Be willing to participate in an in-person or video interview with the VWF Scholarship Review Committee, if selected.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate active involvement in the Vegreville Wildlife Federation, their community, and their school.
Both previous scholarship recipients and unsuccessful applicants are welcome to apply again, provided they continue to meet the eligibility requirements. Previous scholarship awards will be considered during the selection process.
How to Apply
We invite eligible applicants to complete the scholarship application form below.
The application asks applicants to share information about their educational plans, involvement with the Vegreville Wildlife Federation, community participation, extracurricular activities, hobbies, and achievements.
Applicants will also need to provide:
A dated copy of their most recent high school or post-secondary transcript.
A copy of their post-secondary program acceptance letter.
A completed and signed scholarship application.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of three volunteer VWF members. One applicant will be selected based on their written application and a final interview, which may take place in person or by video call.
